This will be a very short plan.

Last night I was reading through the latest issue of Computer Gaming World before going to watch an episode from the first season of "Lost in Space" (thanks NetFlix) with the kids. I turn the page and there is a game that Jeff and I did many years ago. I was very surprised and happy. :^)

Wow, you guys were the ones who made that? It was definitely one of the most popular games we were allowed to play with back in middle school, nice!

I remember sitting in my games shop and playing TIM alongside things like Commander Keen and Spear of Destiny/Wolfenstien.

Class games, certainly insipired me to work more on mine!

Actually, thats a bit disturbing really, the guys who wrote the games that inspire me are many of the guys I know now! :) small world I guess.

When I worked at Sierra we used to set each other challenges every day with the 3 TIMs. Even still today it's a favourite for my casual gaming activities.

I'm going to have to have a play around now. :)

torqueX version for xbox live perhaps :p

Mathieu Marquis-Bolduc   (Aug 24, 2006 at 20:43 GMT)
I used to make hundreds of different machines in TIM, that all ended up shooting a cat. Congratulation, your place in this hall of fame is truly deserved...

So who here's going to make the "modern-day" version?

Did you DUDES make that game.... ... .. . . . ..
I have played (all the TIM games) atleast once a year... and completed them... infact i played TIM 2 yesterday

TIM is a classic... NO DOUBT about it

WOW.... .. :/

I think I still have my TIM install floppy sitting around here somewhere ;) I still think it's one of the best games ever made.

Surprised it's that low on the list. T.I.M. is/was great!

Justin Woodman   (Aug 24, 2006 at 22:38 GMT)
Wow... me and my friends would spend HOURS playing T.I.M back in the day. It never got old, and the premade puzzles were excellent. I have yet to come across another game as addictive as this. And I played Everquest.

Mincetro   (Aug 25, 2006 at 01:47 GMT)
I still have my original Incredible Machine 3.0 CD sitting right next to me on my desk... Those were the days...
Did you work on The Incredible Toon Machine too? That's still one of my favorites!

Kevin Ryan   (Aug 25, 2006 at 19:24 GMT)
I'm always kind of surprised when I hear that people have heard about TIM. My own 3 year old has been having fun playing it a lot lately and he was -11 years old when I made.

@Mincetro
Chris Cole did Toons. I didn't have anything to do with it besides a few of the puzzles.

@Phil
I played quite a bit Keen thinking "The guys that made this are good. Wonder what they'll do next?"

Keith Johnston   (Aug 27, 2006 at 02:21 GMT)
The Incredible Machine is one of my all time favorite games, and it was definitely one of the primary inspirations for TubeTwist. Congratulations, Kevin and Jeff!

Deborah Marshall   (Aug 28, 2006 at 18:17 GMT)
My mother still has a version of TIM loaded on her computer at school, and her 6th graders still play it (if they can finish all their homework).

David Cobb   (Aug 29, 2006 at 15:14 GMT)
TIM is awesome. I picked up another copy last year (lost my old one) and ended up playing that while waiting for builds and syncs at work.
