Ok, definitely back from the trip and over the jet-lag. This week I'm basically working on the new 1.2 demo app. I'll look at patches on the side, but Rick and I need to rough out the demo this week so we can get any needed art resources scheduled. Onces the demo is sorted out I'll put more time into the patches and fixing bugs for the 1.2 release.

Still interested in patch process feedback, though it's looking like using the code resource will be the way to go for the short term, since I don't have much time to work on any new web-infrastructure.

When you say v 1.2... am I to take it that this would mean Torque v 1.2 is on the horizon?

If so, will there be any improvements to vehicle physics, other than what's currently in HEAD?

There is a new 1.2 Torque release comming up. Once the new demo is working I'll take a pass through the outstanding project bugs and we'll see which ones need to get fixed for the 1.2 release... in the meantime, if someone else wants to look at the vehicle issues, that would be great :)

Get my bump mapping in there too! :P

Tim with the demo apps (if possible) can you include some environmental effects like lightning, precipitation. I'm sure some people will be grateful to have an example to work from.

Ok Devon, I'll add them to the list... (not promising they'll get in though)

Tim:
A while back you wrote about fixing the GUI's so they refresh for all video cards (mainly the ATI's). I was curious if that has been worked on or has already been done awaiting the release. I can't wait for the updated release though since I restarted my project completely (hard drive failure), I don't mind updating Torque with a fresh version. It'll give me time to rework all my artwork and models. Thanks in advance.

Mark will be checking in the gui change shortly. The affected file is GuiCanvas.cc The fix is being used in Marble Blast, but Mark was reluctant to check it in as it forces all cards to fully refresh every frame (doesn't detect ATI/FSA only). I don't think it's an issue though.
