Summary:
-An \'Ex\' got me interested in a text game, Dragons Gate, in 1991. One of the owners liked my ideas and encouraged me, made me believe he would hire me for real money, then soured after somebody burned him. Trying to learn all I could about the game (mechanics, look, feel) I ran up a huge bill on GEnie and left feeling used.

-Then I started writing my own game. I felt like a complete idiot for about a week and then felt really energized. I had ideas for sentient races come into my dreams for cryin out loud-

-I wanted several races, not just elves and humans and the standards - some which \'evolved\' from cats, foxes, bears and otters. - Winged humanoids who could fly. Metamorphs who could change their visible shape into that of other races, \'Faerie\' creatures (Flying healer Sprites, Faer Elves with real cat and half cat half human forms, Dog faced humanoids who could morph into pure dogs and pure humanoids, Dryads (male and female) Satyrs (male and female), gremlins, reptoids, \'Ymmps\' (\"assembled from spare parts\" have all other sentient races\' dna not-quite-dormant in their own dna (but they\'ve got three strands so they call it \'tna\') ) Sectoids (insect-humanoid experiments gone bad.) (( & a pure spider race reluctantly seeking alliances with \'two legs\' because the Sectoids are out to kill them off.)) oh, and semi-corporial, nearly invisible creatures called \'watchers\', banished from another dimension or coming here from that dimension to either rescue or track down and eliminate other members of that race. I think that about covers it.)

- I wanted a world where \"Finesse\" Role Players could co-exist with the hard core \"Gamers\" (hackers and slashers) where people who had no interest in killing npcs could have their own (safe) areas and where rabid pc killers could have their own areas.

- I wanted out of control \'robots from the future\' for those who didn\'t want to battle realistic foes.

-I wanted wounded npcs for Healers to heal (the npcs would insist the healer accept some kind of payment) so healers could thrive

-Um, there\'re more, but let\'s not bore you to death just yet.
