An innovative designer and invaluable production assistant, Tony Barnes has lent his talents to many hit products over the years, dating all the way back to 1987. Tony\'s multi-talents stem from an amazing ability to understand and adapt. Artistically inclined since 3 years of age, self-taught programmer since 11, and music composer since 13, Tony\'s understanding of multiple disciplines makes him an excellent moderator between team members. In addition to tangible talents such as art and engineering, Tony has always had a firm grasp on the ever-illusive buzzword; gameplay. He can invent new and exciting ideas from thin air and translate the ideas to the proper team members.
GAME DIRECTOR
As the industry grew, so did the size of the teams and products. Tony searched for a path that would allow him to put his multifaceted personality to good use. The title \"Game Designer\" was used, but a Game Designer generally writes a game-script, and then goes onto the next script, leaving the team to translate his/her thoughts. In many cases, these \"thoughts\" were not fully realized on paper and the result is a series of misinterpretations and improper implementation. In addition, most Game Designers do not possess the technical background necessary to help implement their vision. Besides providing thorough designs, proactive Tony loves to be \"in the trenches\", much like one of his heroes, James Cameron. In the end, the title \"Game Director\" was adopted.
VERSATILITY
A word that comes up often when describing Tony Barnes is versatility. He has created games and applications on almost every viable platform known to man. From the Apple II to Microsoft\'s XBox 360, from action-games to Edutainment, it seems nothing is too tough to tackle. When introduced to a new tool or platform, Tony just adapts.
AWARD-WINNING
Top-selling products and awards are commonplace for projects Tony Barnes has been associated with. The Strike Series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Crue Ball, Compton\'s Multimedia Encyclopedia and Legacy of Kain have all received high praise and awards from the press. Also, Tony\'s games have generated well in excess of $100 million in revenue for many publishers over the years.
