- I have done design work on a few game projects which never made it beyond the design phase, and have written a great deal of backstory to a running "universe" comprising of several centuries of character and civilization development.
There are no delusions of grandeur here. I'm not published in a dead tree medium, and I've never completed anything novel-length. However, I think I have enough of a basic grounding in "hard" to "firm" Sci-Fi that I believe a good game or ten can be built around things I help put a story to.
I write with an effort to avoid cliche', as well as continually trying to keep the player's emotional reaction to sequences in mind. It may not be the most popular skill among game designers, but I hope I can prove myself more capable than your typical programmer/designer.
Just keep the code away from me. I fear it.
