According to my readers, I can write quite well. My AP english teacher praises my creative essays, and my friends meet my own fiction stories with expressions such as \"woah...\" and the classic lack-of-words-to-describe-it. Ever since i was a wee little boy, I\'ve been especially intruiged by the art of fiction (especially fantasy) literature.
To tell you the truth, I\'ve never actually finished a full work of fiction. I\'ve written a few chapters of fantasy, a few half done short stories, and a 10+ page Zelda fan-fiction. But it\'s that little bit of successful writing that leads me to believe that I can be an accomplished writer.
I\'m interested in writing stories and scripts for games, especially epic RPG\'s filled with emotion, action, suspense, and weapons bigger than my house. When I think of such stories, I often put myself in the perspective of the reader, player, or viewer, and ask myself what this game lacks, what it offers in terms of fun, and, as a trademark, I suppose, How epic it really is; how wide and grand the scope of the story stretches beyond the hero\'s little town, yet still how it is presented believably to the audience.
In addition to writing, I have thought through quite a lot of theory and logic for mechanics, ideas, and overall \"glue\" for games, helped in part by the amount of game playing I do. I\'ve written down many of these thoughts, while some remain in my head, and some have been lost to the realm of forgotten ideas that will never become reality. This is why I\'d also want to be a director, getting down to the nitty-gritty details of the game, and controlling the way the game is played out and the overall quality of the final product. I am an artist, so I am passionate about every single nitty-gritty detail of the game. This will most likely come later though, since this is my first project.
Here is my most recent unfinished project, entitled \"Tales of Destiny.\" So far, I have the first paragraph and a half:

He was a quiet man, as all are after leaving the kind of place he had been. His dark, bearded face compared him to the men that most of the country folk have heard of in their old storybooks. Yet some still questioned whether he possessed a pair of eyes; his dirty, toil-worn hood covered their wrinkled sockets. Many of the children in the town called him the
