- I started learning C about 7-8 years ago, and then C++ two years after that.
I\'ve had aborted attempts at my own engines using DirectX, but have recently \"realised\" that programming isn\'t where my heart lies. I love designing, and enjoy level designing and scripting. I feel like a kid in a candy shop with Torque - I love having a scripting language so powerful that\'s ready and raring for me to go. I\'m getting to grips with it, y\'know, one bit at a time. An edit here, a change here, it all builds up eventually.
Oh, the writer bit? Well, I guess it\'s an extension of all this designing, really. Sometimes I feel my games would end up better as novels or screenplays or something. I\'d like to write for games, though. I just don\'t think I\'m particularly imaginitive enough, though. ^^
There are loads of ideas for games bubbling in my head at the moment - as soon as I feel confident enough with Torque I\'ll be starting one.
