- Summary:
- Started writing command lines to execute games on the VIC-20 when I was around 3. The the Commodore 64 followed. Really started my computers experience when I got my own 386 20 Mhz at 12. Learned DOS pretty well (which I still remember most commands), got many hardware/software problems and started fixing them myself because of bad tech support from the seller.
Then ordered the first store's sold 486DX2-66Mhz which was always "freezing!" and found out myself it was overheating (fans came in later on). I was around 13-14 at the time. Finally studied in electronics while being a computer technician in my free time. Then worked at Nortel Networks to then work as a repair-everything man (computers, networds, servers, printers, credit card machines, copiers, etc.!) to finally work as an IT professional for another company.
This is where my brother talked about TGE and we started making a game together. We called it many names before really deciding of the gameplay it has now and finally chose BUGhey!. In late 2003, I managed to contact the director of Ubisoft Canada and have been sending demos for him to show in San-Francisco until first quarter of 2005. So we pushed hard to make the game BUGhey! bigger and bigger, while also working as full-time employee as a second job.
Then, around second quarter of 2005, daughter Fanny came in. We've also been contracted by the Government of Canada, RCMP for internet101.ca to make an animated 23 minute 3D presentation (they wanted that instead of a powerpoint presentation) followed by many 3D videos presentations. With all that we didn't have time to finish our game until beginning of 2007.
Windows Vista came in, so made BUGhey! fully Vista compatible and the game got accepted to "wear" the "Works with Windows Vista" logo! BUGhey! is now released! (September 22, 2007), published by us on our own web site.
We're planning on publishing it in a lot of manners and hoping to physically sell it also!
