Summary:
My programming resume in anecdotal bio style:
Started writing arcade style games in BASIC and ML on a Commodore 64 when I was 12.

Discovered a great interest within myself for RPG's when I found King's Quest by Sierra...somehow lost track of many years.

Picked up a form of programming again on Windows for Workgroups while serving with the USMC, writing various applications to make my job easier.
Quickly realized that I could have done more with my C-64 than was possible with scripting in Lotus.

Taught myself a bastardized version of Pascal while borrowing time on my room-mates PC.
Working in Pascal didn't do much to inspire me to pursue a full time coding career, so I decided to pickup c/c++.

Started consulting for a privately held software company designing and developing document imaging software. "VB6? Yes of course I'm fluent!" (To the bookstore...)

Years and much experience later, I discover Java. The Missing Link in the OO world that always seemed to mar c/c++ was filled! Learning Java is a breeze
and I use it for many personal projects, testing utilities, anything and everything I can squeeze it into, but being a Microsoft shop, the platform support begins to tell. The VB6 drudgery continues...

Company undergoes restructuring and I find myself promoted to Director of Development as the .NET framework finally sees the light. I find in C# all the libraries I had or wished I had in Java, and better platform support (Microsoft anyway) to boot. Product updates & rewrites ensue...

Approaching the culmination of the .NET undertaking on 2.5 of our 4 products at work, things are moving along smoothly, .NET is firmly attached to my tool belt, ASP.NET and SQL Server are long since consumed, now I just need to deal with this long term desire to make my own games.

And here we are.
